Six North Carolina MLSs Share Data
November 5, 2009 by Alice Allan
The six largest multiple listing services in North Carolina have joined forces in a new data share agreement.
The Brunswick County Association of Realtors, Carolina Multiple Listing Services, Inc., North Carolina Mountains MLS, Triad MLS, Inc., Triangle MLS, Inc. and the Wilmington Association of Realtors will participate in the Carolina Data Share (CDS), sharing active real estate listings for display on brokerage websites.
According to a joint press release, any real estate broker who participates in one of these MLSs will be able to display listings from all six MLSs on their personal website.
The release says the CDS has the most comprehensive set of active listings in the state, and that it will allow brokers to compete against national websites.
Brokers will have the ability to opt out of the CDS, and all other Carolina MLSs are invited to take part.
