realeflix.com Promotes Video Tours

Launched in February this year, realeflix.com is a website that showcases video tours of properties. The service differs from other video websites such as YouTube in that it focuses exclusively on property tours and allows users to search properties in various categories. The “I’m Interested!” button on each listing also generates leads for agents by linking to an online inquiry form.

realeflix.com is subscription based and provides advice on producing videos as well as a database of videographers for hire. In March, realeflix.com launched an analytics feature that allows agents to track the number of times their property has been viewed, marked as a favourite or published on third party websites.

When the website was launched, president and founder Josh George stated: “RealeFlix.com is not just another MLS or video site. We monitor what the real estate professionals and national organizations feel they need to compete for, and connect with, potential buyers. Instead of them having to deal with the expense, maintenance and skilled personnel to develop these next-generation marketing tools, we provide it for them.”

The launch of realeflix.com is another sign of the growing popularity of virtual property tours. Another example is property portal realestate.com, which is promoting its listings on YouTube with a dedicated channel.
