Real estate applications for iPhone and other mobile devices are gradually becoming commonplace. Two new offerings have recently been released with both agents and clients in mind.
zipForm Mobile from zipLogix
zipLogix, the company behind real estate forms software zipForm, has now released an application aimed at agents with an iPhone or iPod touch. The application “will allow our users to quickly and efficiently create forms and manage their transactions on the go”, explained zipLogix board chairman Robert Bailey.
The company states that the zipForm Mobile application is a “companion” to its other desktop applications, and is available to agents who subscribe to zipForm Online, WINForms Online and the new version of zipForm 6 Professional. The application costs US$9.99.
Upgraded Mobile Website from John L. Scott Real Estate
John L. Scott real estate, which operates across Washington, Oregon, and Idaho and says it sees over 1 million visitors on its website per month, has upgraded its mobile website with features aimed primarily at iPhone users.
The upgraded mobile website automatically detects iPhone users and does not require them to download an additional application to use it. The website’s features include GPS technology that displays nearby homes for sale, open houses and John L. Scott offices.
“The iPhone represents over 50 percent of all smart phone web traffic and its growth is outpacing other devices by a significant margin,” said Pat Giles, John L. Scott’s vice president of marketing, interactive marketing and IT. “We felt it was important to tap into the iPhone user and provide a fluid online experience that maximizes the phone’s seemingly limitless capabilities.”
