Entries are now open for the 2010 Webby Awards – the 14th time the annual awards have been run.
The Webby Awards honour the best in Websites, Interactive Advertising & Media, Online Film & Video and the Mobile Web. The Webbys are presented by The International Academy of Digital Arts and Sciences, a 550-member body of leading Web experts, business figures, luminaries, visionaries and creative celebrities.
Famous for its five word acceptance speeches, the awards attract widespread media and public attention.
The real estate category covers “sites marketing or promoting the sale or rental of residential or commercial real estate, including real estate listings, brokers and brokerage services, real estate agents, and sites for developments, buildings or other real estate holdings”.
In May this year we reported on the winners of the 2009 Webby Awards in the real estate category: trulia.com was the Webby Award Winner, while hotpads.com was the People’s Voice Winner.
trulia.com and hotpads.com were nominated in the real estate category alongside Better Homes and Gardens Real Estate, nytimes.com/realestate and Riverfront Park.
Last year zillow.com was the Webby Award Winner for real estate, chosen by the judges, while trulia.com was voted People’s Voice Winner.
Entries close 30 October 2009 at entries.webbyawards.com.
