- LoopNet is about to release its offering for Android, complementing its iPhone and iPad apps. “If our estimates hold, as many as a third of our user base will benefit from this potential release,” LoopNet states.
- redfin.com has also launched its app for Android, claiming to offer “freakish depth” on every listing. “Of all the Android applications available today, this one provides the most detail on a home for sale,” redfin.com says. The video below outlines the app’s features:
- Adding to these mobile releases, new free-to-list Nigerian portal nigeriapropertycentre.com has now launched its mobile website. “This launch has come about as a result of the high traffic to our website from mobile devices,” the portal states.
- Finally, US-based real estate website realtypin.com says it has hit its first profit milestone, and will now be sharing a percentage of that profit with registered members. The website generates revenue by charging for listings, but then shares 25 percent of that revenue with members. “In our first quarter we paid out on average $16.27 per member who submitted their listing,” realtypin.com states.
