Track Your Website Visitors with Mouseflow

Even if you haven’t got to the stage of tracking the number of visitors to your real estate website through a service like Google Analytics, there are still plenty of options out there to help you get a sense of what’s working, and what’s not. Once such service is Mouseflow, which shows you exactly how people are using your website just seconds after they visit.

In a nutshell
In the image above, you can see the kind of heat maps Mouseflow creates after tracking your website visitors’ movements. Mouseflow can create these maps for clicks, mouse movement, individual links, and to show how far down users have scrolled. The tool also offers information including bounce rate and the amount of time people spent on your website.

Positives
Mouseflow says all it takes to install is one line of code added to your website’s pages. After that, you can get a real sense of what people are interested in when they come to your website, whether your calls to action are actually working, and where you need to change things. The fact that Mouseflow presents all this information as a heat map means it will be easy to understand where you need to make improvements.

Drawbacks
Unsurprisingly for a service as useful as this, there are some costs involved. You can record 100 user sessions per month for free, but after that subscriptions start at €10 per month. Another stumbling block for some agents may be the process of adding the code to their pages, as they will need access to the back-end of their website.
